Description: Postcard of a sketch of a 10 story building with an ornate roof. The message on the front of the postcard reads, "Mathew + I stayed here from Sept. 9th to Sept. 27th 1941. Have had many visits and this state in the past." The hotel is described as "One of the truly famous hotels of America. Recently completed a modernization program, but still retains and atmosphere in keeping with its tradition."

[Postcard of The Divine Healer]

Description: Postcard of a marble statue of Jesus Christ with arms open. The back describes the postcard as the following, "This heroic statue of "The Divine Healer" was presented to the John Hopkins Hospital in 1896 by Mr. William Wallace Spence. It is a replica of the famous work of Bertel Thorvaldsen which was placed in Copenhagen. The white figure was carved from a block of Carrara marble with this lettering at the base of the statue -- "Come unto me all ye that are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest."

I wish you girls would come out and see us. Aileen Lovejoy is going to try and come to see you all Monday but I can't come with her. Lots of love, Zilee."
