[First National Bank in Wellington]

Description: Photograph of the First National Bank on the corner of 9th and East Avenue, in Wellington, Texas. An accompanying note states that the building was a Post Office when the photograph was taken, and that Claude Savage started to work at the location in 1923. Rural carriers were Hugh Longino and L. A. Moore. A. C. Nicholson, a lawyer, had offices upstairs. There was a gambling establishment in the back owned by Coon Cox, and in 1940 Dr. Boucher had an office in the back as well.
