Fence.

Description: Patent for a new and improved fence. This design calls for two spring-bars to be driven into the ground alongside two crossbars and laced between the latter. This lacing of spring-bars allows for "much additional bracing strength" for the crossbars and enables barbed wire to be stretched along where the spring-bars intersect (line 33).

Household Utensil.

Description: Patent for a new attachment for buckets. This design is for a metal cup with hooks by which to hang from the rim of the bucket and a groove to receive the handle of the dipper or ladle. This allows for the dipper to be stored near the bucket without resting on the floor.

Description: Patent for a portable dairy that consists of a frame with legs, a pan at the top of the frame, a tube that goes from the bottom of the pan and through the middle of the frame, a perforated bottom for the dairy, a cloth that surrounds the dairy while still allowing for air circulation, and the cloth goes into the pan.

Sweep Plow.

Description: Patent for a new and improved sweep-plow. This design is "to provide a sweep-plow especially adapted for the cultivation of cotton and to so construct the same that the blades or wings thereof may be adjusted for the purpose of plowing between rows of various widths" (lines 8-13). It consists, "with the sweep curved in cross-section to form the central shovel-receiving seat, which is slotted opposite the rearwardly-disposed triangular sides or flanges, which latter are perforated near their lower ends and provided with their upper ends with curved slots, with which the perforations are concentric" (lines 55-62).

Description: Patent for a new and improved trace-carrier. This design consists "of a frame having a bar extending thereacross with integral arms at right angles thereto, having outwardly turned sharpened ends to form a means of attachment, and a carrier proper depending from said frame and consisting of an elongated loop and an upper eye having the juncture of the two extended inward to form a projection to narrow the opening between said loop and eye, the parts of said carrier proper being of integral rigid structure" (lines 78-88).

Description: Patent for "car-couplings; and the object is to provide an improved automatically-tripped pin-supporting mechanism, and also to provide an improved device for holding the link in proper position for coupling, whereby the couplers of adjoining cars may be arranged to interlock automatically before coming together, thus avoiding the extreme danger incident to coupling cars."
