Samuel VanHook Lee

Description: Reverend Samuel VanHook Lee, of Harrison County, Kentucky. Rev. Lee is sitting on a stool holding a bible. He was born January 25, 1800 and died May 22, 1888 , most likely from heart problems. Originally a Baptist minister, Rev. Lee joined the early Christian Church movement around 1832. This print was found in Malinda Duncan Barkley's bible. The Barkley's lived in Haltom City.

Lucy Ann Parker

Description: Lucy Ann Parker, the daughter of Isaac and Lucy Cheathaur Parker. She was born June 23, 1830. She married William F. Johnson about 1846. They had two daughters, Mary and Jane. William was killed around 1848. Lucy married Samuel Chester Haile at that time, before Jane's birth on March 17, 1848. (Laura had a son, Jesse Cleveland Yarbrough). Together, Lucy and Chester had a daughter, Anna Laura. Lucy died July 10, 1875.

Isaac Parker

Description: Frontal pose of Isaac Parker. He was a veteran of the War of 1812. He moved to Birdville in 1853; represented Tarrant County in the state legislature; voted for secession in 1861; and served in the Texas brigade during the Civil War. Around 1870, he moved to Parker County, which was named for him because he had sponsored legislation creating that county. The family farm was given to his nephew, Isaac Green Parker, and remained a showplace in Birdville into the 20th century. He lived from 1793-1883.

Description: Portrait of Frank Reeves and his wife. Noted on back of photo "Georgia Duncan Calbitio", appearing to be the wife's maiden name; however this is in conflict with another picture that says she was married to George Preston Reeves.
