The back of the postcard adds, "Green Room , White House, Washington - The Green Room has on the wall green velvet. The screen of Gobelin tapestry, in front of the mantel, was presented to Mrs. Grant by the Emperor of Austria." The letter on the back of the postcard reads, "I think this is a beautiful room don't you? We leave tomorrow for Atlantic City. Lots of love, Perry Duncan." Howdy- you see you are cutting down on the use of writing paper therefore I return the same. This time we made the grade of getting a place to stay. The card shows the lobby. Last night we took a boat ride up or down the Potomac. It is now 8:40 and we plan on going to see the monuments etc. This hotel is quite nice but rather old. So long. Woodrow."
