Description: Will of Charles B. Moore, dated December 6, 1883, in which he leaves his estate to his wife, Mary Moore. He also describes Linnet as being a baby at the time he created this document. There are two copies, the second shows that it was updated on January 17, 1892. Mr. Moore also created a list of his taxable property on January 1st 1883.

[Letter from Ann Farman to her Brother, August 4, 1883]

Description: Letter from Ann Farman to her brother with news of her family. Her husband has been recovering from his broken leg and began working around their farm once more. Her daughter has been sick for five years with an unknown ailment. Among other family news, she informed her brother that their sister, Sarah, wanted him to write. She condemned a drunken family member as disgraceful and discussed the possibility of adding family members' names to the family burial ground if the bodies were not able to be buried there.

[Carrie E. Secrest (Jeffries)]

Description: Photograph of Carrie E. Secrest (Jeffries), born February 15, 1865. This photo was taken when Carrie was 18 years old. She is the daughter of Felix G. & Martha Ann Secrest. Information was written on the back of the photo in blue ink. Carrie is wearing a dress with dark colors and insets of lighter colors with stripe. The dress has a jacket with dark trim. She is wearing a scarf with fringe at bottom and tied at the neckline. Carrie has a hat with light and dark colors and feathers on right. She has very long wavy hair that is braided into braid thrown over her right shoulder. She is seated in an upholstered chair and has her left arm resting on a tasseled arm of chair.
