Black silk corset

Description: Corset covered in black silk, constructed of 6 pieces. Front has 5 clasps, marked "FC Co." Each side has 41 bones of various widths and lengths. The back is laced with 13 eyelets with (now) brown laces. The bottom is finished with a straight silk binding, and the top is finished with a machine made eyelet edging. Description: Folding fan. Thin polished wood or bamboo guards lacquered a dark mahogany. The thin sticks are dyed purple. Paper leaf with hand-painted abstract design of flowers and foliage on a reddish ground. Metal bail. Reverse is unadorned. No visible labels or marks. Measurements: Guards: 21.5 cm. long x 1 cm. wide at widest point; 38.5 cm. across fully opened.

Description: Extension agreement for Mrs. Loriette C.Redway which secured the payment of a $250.00 bond and extended the time in which the loan amount was to be paid. The agreement states that the principal sum plus interest, 7% per year payable semi-annually, will be due three years from January 1, 1901.
