Artistic Learning: What and Where Is It?

Description: A Journal of Aesthetic Education, Vol. 22, No. Artistic Learning: What and Where Is It? by Dennie Palmer Wolf. The journal has two pictures of student work that was made twelve years apart and a series of questions that about the altered roles of the final productions. The prints and questions come from an intensive study of artistic thinking known as Arts Propel. Propel is a collaboration between research and educators to assess artistic development.

[North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts]

Description: A brochure on the North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts, a project out of the University of North Texas. The Institute is made of a consortia of six independent school districts, five metroplex museums, art councils and state agencies. The North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts is supported by a five year grant from the Getty Center for Education in the arts, a three year grant from the Amon G. Carter Foundation and the Edward and Betty Marcus Foundation and a one year support grant from the University of North Texas Foundation, the Crystelle Waggoner Chairty, Greater Denton Arts Council, Arts Guild of Denton and other individual donations.

The purpose of the event is to raise $15,000 dollars to further the work of the shelter for battered women and children.
