Description: Patent for a simple and durable punching-machine for metalworking that punching metal and feeds it forward. The invention is made up of " a carriage adapted to support the sheet to be punched, and provided with a toothed bar, a rock shaft carrying a pawl adapted to engage the said toothed bar to move the carriage forward, and a punch lever adapted to receive a swinging motion from the said shaft, the said lever being connected with the punch to move the latter downward to punch the sheet" (lines 14-22).

Wire-Coiling Machine.

Description: Patent for a wire-coiling machine that improves on a previous patent (No. 296,806), that was granted to Wildermuth. The improvement allows for either left- or right-handed use, by making the crank movable to either side and by "providing the upper end of the post at opposite sides with stationary cutter blades and a single movable cutter adapted to be shifted for operation with either one of the said fixed cutters" (lines 28-32).

Description: Patent for a simple hammering machine for circular saws that "carries the saw in such a way that it may be held at any necessary or desired angle to suit the operator, which has a sliding anvil adapted to be adjusted so as to come opposite the various parts of the saw, which is provided with an adjustable hammer adapted to be brought opposite the anvil, which is constructed so as to cause a blow to expand both sides of the saw equally, and which in general is intended to facilitate the quick and efficient hammering of a saw" (lines 12-23).
