Historic plaque - Stagecoach Stand

Description: Photograph of a historic plaque in Clarksville, Texas. It reads: "Stagecoach Stand, C. S. A. Across the street from this site, and facing the county courthouse which was later (1885) torn down, the Donoho Hotel and State Stand operated during the Civil War, 1861-65. Travel in those years was heavy, soldiers arriving in Texas from Arkansas, Indian Territory or elsewhere would catch the stage here for home. [Postcard with a Photograph of a Horse-Drawn Fire Wagon]

Description: Postcard with a photo of one of the engines of the Springfield Fire Department in Springfield, Massachusetts. The person who wrote the note on the back of the picture says that he caught a cold during the "Indian PowWow Clambake at Riverside Park." The wagon in the picture is loaded with blankets, rope, and a long water hose rolled up in the back and is being pulled by two spotted horses; two firemen are also seated in the driver's seat holding the reins.

Description: Postcard of a woman driving a cart laden with milk jugs pulled by a white horse. Three other women are outside a white building with green doors and balcony fences. Description: Patent for a strong and durable wiffletree-hook that is spring-actuated and uses an eye-bolt to hold the trace securely. It consists of a socket with an eye-bolt, a seat with flanges on all four s ides, pivot-lugs extending from the seat, a hook pivoted between the lugs, and a bow spring on the flanged-seat.
