Description: Copy negative of a summons to the office of the Mayor of Rusk. It reads: "You are hereby commanded to summon David M. Cook to be and appear before me at my Office in Rusk on the third Saturday in June being the 19 day of said month to answer the complaint of [illegible] in a plea of debt by note for the sum of Thirteen 68/100 dollars; then and there to show cause if any why judgment should not be given against him for said money. Herein fail not, and a due return make to me of this writ as the law directs. Given under my hand, at Office, this the 7th day of June A .D. 1858. Signed E. W. Busby, Mayor."
