Ducks in Mulberry Creek, Lynchburg Tennessee

Description: Photograph of a group of ducks, swimming in a creek. The shores of the creek are heavily forested, and a single, large trunk leans out over the water. Junebug Clark narrative: Ducks in Mulberry Creek, Lynchburg Tennessee. This was used in a Jack Daniel Ad. The story being that The Distillery was undergoing some renovation of their grain silos. The ducks would hang out around the silos searching for spilled grain and then lived in a pond behind the silos. During the renovation the ducks moved couple hundred yards to Mulberry Creek (see photo) but now the construction is over and peace has returned to The Hollow and so has our ducks. [Walking through the woods]

Description: Photograph of Hazel Petrey, Gilbert Dove, and Anna Ruth Petrey walking through the woods on the way to the Sunny View Methodist Church for a wedding rehearsal before their ceremony. Narrative by Junebug Clark: More images and information can be found in the July 28, 1941 issue of Life Magazine, pages 82-85 in the story “Life Magazine Goes to a Kentucky Wedding.” Also in the Joe Clark, HBSS book “Country Wedding," published in 1974.
