[Detroit bus driver asking for help]

Description: Photograph of stranded motorists in a flooded dug down expressway in Detroit, Michigan. Narrative by Junebug Clark: Additional photos and information can be found in the pdf document "Joe Clark HBSS LIFE Magazine Photos" Unfortunately when I was creating this document I missed this photo which ran as a LIFE Miscellany photo, which was the back page and a coveted spot. This photo was taken in Highland Park, Michigan. A city surrounded by Detroit. This is on Woodward Ave about 1/4 mile south of 6 Mile Rd. Camera left about 100 yards is the Joe Clark HBSS Studio located at 20 Bartlett. Every big rainstorm Woodward would flood here underneath the Rail Road viaduct. Photo by: Joe Clark, HBSS.
