Description: Photograph of Federals prepping a cannon for use. A few other soldiers are seen in the background, next to their horses. A group of civilians observe the Federals' actions. The Federals' uniforms appear to be those used commonly in Victoriano Huerta's and Venustiano Carranza's Federal Armies. In the far distance, behind a white structure the dome of a building protrudes into the sky. This building is the Juarez Customs House.

[Francisco I. Madero]

Description: Photograph of Francisco Ignacio Madero Gonzalez. Sitting next to Madero, wearing a black coat, is Federico Garza. Across from Madero and Garza is "Soldier of Fortune" Guiseppi Garibaldi. Francisco Madero served as Presidente of Mexico from 1911 to 1913. Madero was betrayed by General Victoriano Huerta and was executed on February 22, 1913. This photograph was taken at Madero's camp in Ciuadad Juarez, just across the river from where Smeltertown would have been located.

[A Call to Arms]

Description: Photograph of a large gathering of Mexican men. In the photograph there are several men who have white bandanas around their hats and those bandanas have different words printed on them. One of the bandanas has the word "Justicia" printed on one side of the hat and another bandana has the word "Tierra." Justicia means justice and Tierra means land or earth.

[Carcel Publica]

Description: Photograph of the Carcel Publica in Ciudad Juarez. This is an up close photograph of the main entrance to the Carcel Publica (Public Jail) in Ciudad Juarez. This is the same building where the Juzgado Menor (Lower Courts) and the Juzgado De Letras (Trial Courts) were housed. Several men can be seen around the entrance of the building including an armed guard. There is also a small dog next to the man in the heavy black coat.

[Generals Campa and Salazar]

Description: Photograph of Generals Emilio P. Campa and Jose Ines Salazar. Generals Campa and Salazar were close allies of Pascual Orozco during the Mexican Revolution and often worked alongside one another. Information on the back of the photo identifies the photo as having been taken in Ciudad Juarez in February 1912 and states that the generals were in the midst of an argument.
