Description: Photograph of a University of North Texas homecoming parade float, ridden by male and female UNT cheerleaders, on the south side of the Denton County courthouse square in Denton, Texas. The float is heading east on Hickory Street. Two other cheerleaders, male and female, are visible on foot to the left of the float. The Denton County courthouse is visible in the right background of the photograph, as well as the Campus Theatre marquee in the left background. A handwritten note on the back of the photograph reads, "Homecoming - Parade c. 1980s".

[Parade Float in Tomato Festival Parade]

Description: Copy negative of a parade float during the 1940 Tomato Festival Parade. The float is being escorted by horsemen wearing helmets. Men and women sit on the hoods of parked cars, and the Texas State Bank building can be seen in the background. To the right of the bank building is the Palace Theater, where spectators stand on top of the marquee. One person is sitting on the roof of the building. More spectators sit on the roof of Gillespie's Variety Store. The building in the right foreground housed the J. C. Penney Co., Inc. store on the first floor, and the Travis Clinic on the second.
