Fire-Extinguishing Apparatus.

Description: Patent for a fire-extinguishing apparatus designed for use in gin-mills, saw-mills, factories, and other buildings. The operator can quickly turn on a stream of water and extinguish the flames. The apparatus is a valved supply-pipe connected to a boiler, branch pipes extend from the supply-pipe, and discharge nozzles are connected and are flexible.

Description: Photograph of Congressman Charles Wilson, Governor Ann Richards, and Miss Texas Rhonda Morrison in the parking lot of the Angelina County Exposition Center in Lufkin, Texas at the conclusion of their day-long helicopter tour. The tour occurred during the 1992 campaign on October 14, and began in Orange with stops in Silsbee, Jasper, and Center. After ceremonies at the Exposition Center, it concluded with a reception at Crown Colony Country Club.

Mural in Downtown Lufkin

Description: Photograph of mural by Lance Hunter on Angelina Street in downtown Lufkin, Texas. The mural is on the back of the Lufkin ISD Administration Building that faces Cotton Square and is built where the 1882 Houston E.& W. railway depot was located. The Angelina & Neches (A&N) RR was a local short-line railroad started in 1900 to service the Angelina Lumber Company Mill (later the Southland Paper Mill) located about a mile east of this .

The photograph is of the upper window detail; the window has a dark red brick string course at the top and bottom, with the sides also framing the window in dark red brick. As with many older commercial brick buildings, this one has been stuccoed. The stucco currently is painted blue. Canopy rods and a 1950s-style metal canopy is visible below the window.
