Pumping-Engine.

Description: Patent for a pumping engine that uses a "combined piston rod and plunger acting in the same vertical line and carrying a crank pin box and cross heads for driving the governing fly wheel" (lines 12-15). Mounting and dismounting this engine is simple, and the engine has easily accessible packing ends of the steam and water cylinders. Also, the adjustable yoke is improved in this engine.

Description: Photograph of the Pat Cleburne United Confederate Veterans, mostly likely in front of the Johnson County Courthouse. There are forty-five people in the photo and they are labeled with numbers which correspond the the list at the bottom of the photo. The identifying information includes each person's name and where they served in the Civil War. Several of the men are using crutches and are amputees, and most of the men are wearing suits.
