Description: Photograph of a Toyah Valley Land Company building, possibly ca. 1890's. The building is three stories tall, the first story being only doors leading to and from a covered sidewalk, which contains several barrels. A short distance away from the barrels is a single-horse-drawn carriage. On the wall of the building just above the first story is a long sign advertising homes for sale in what they call "The California of Texas" They advertise things such as "cheap land," "healthy ideal climate," and "Improved irrigated tracts of 5 - 10 - 20 - 40 acres cheap."
