Electro-Medical Belt

Description: Patent for "a suitable belt or other support carrying movable contact-plates, a galvanic battery, an induction-coil, connections between the battery and coil, and conductors connecting the secondary wire of the coil to the contact-plates through which the shock is to be conveyed, the contact-plates being provided with suitable binding-screws or other connectors, and also having suitable flaps or insulators for covering them when not in use" (lines 21-31).

[Presentation of Transportable Incubator]

Description: Photograph of five people standing around a portable incubator, alongside a brick building. From left to right they are: a man wearing a fire chief's uniform, holding a file; an older man in a medium-colored suit, also holding a file; a man in a light-colored suit, in the middle of speaking; a man in a plaid suit, standing on the edge of a small ambulance dock; and a woman with short hair, a skirt suit, and a scarf around her neck, also standing on the ambulance dock. The portable incubator is made out of plastic and is supported by a metal structure. Behind the group is a Dallas Fire Department ambulance, the back of which rests just above the dock ledge with the back door open. On the back of the photograph are stamps with information about the photo, handwritten notes, and dimensions for cropping.
