Comanche Texts

Description: This book contains Comanche folktales, along with the English translations. They are broken into several sections which are listed (along with brief summaries of the stories) in the table of contents: coyote stories; fairy tales and fables; manners and morals; adventure; and obtaining and preparing food. Both the English and Comanche texts have numbered footnotes to line up the translation, explained in the Editor's Note (p. iii); there is also an Explanatory Note describing the Comanche transcription (p. xiii).
