[Home Service Memorial Pamphlet]

Description: This pamphlet describes the memorial service held by the First Baptist Church of Paris, TX to honor the soldiers from Lamar County who were killed during World War I. The front cover features text identifying the event to be held as a Home Service Memorial conducted by the American Red Cross "For the sons of Lamar County who have given their lives in service of their country" at the First Baptist Church of Paris, Texas on March 7th, 1919. The inside of the pamphlet contains a program guide to the memorial events, including a list of hymns to be sung and masses read, as well as an honor roll of the fallen soldiers for whom the memorial was conducted. Jett Falls name on the third page under the list of Honor Roll individuals, tenth from the top.

Description: Letters between Dr. Meyer Bodansky, Dr. Carl Lovelace, and Dr. Joseph L. Johnson, dated from October 14, 1940 to November 12, 1940. The letters concern Dr. Bodansky's visit to Boston, Massachusetts with his organization, The Texas Club of Internists. The letters include an invitation from Dr. Lovelace to Dr. Bodansky to attend a meeting while in Boston and a thank-you letter from Dr. Bodansky for the invitation. There is also a letter from Dr. Johnson that expresses his appreciation for Dr. Bodansky's future and past trips to Ann Arbor, Michigan and a response from Dr. Bodansky. There is handwriting and hand-drawn graphs on the back of the last letter from Dr. Carl Lovelace, who is from the Amicable Life Insurance Company.

[Naval Auxiliary Air Station - Cabaniss Field Naval Air Training Center - Service Pamphlet]

Description: Pamphlet detailing the "Order of Service for Morning Worship" on February 13, 1944 at the Cabaniss Field Naval Air Training Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. It has a list of prayers, readings, songs and the times and locations for the services for the Protestant, Catholic and Jewish worshipers. The pamphlet, folded in the form of a post-card was addressed from James Edgar Sutherlin to his father, Edgar B. Sutherlin, on February 14, 1944. On the very back of the pamphlet is a list of Bible excerpts handwritten by James.
