New Map of the State of Texas: Compiled From J. De Cordova's Large Map.

Description: Map shows major roads, military outposts, major cities and towns, notable geographic features with relief shown by hachures, and areas of Native American habitation; only four counties defined in west Texas and panhandle: El Paso, Bexar, Presidio, and one unnamed. It includes geographical notes and has three insets: one of northern showing the panhandle portion of the state and two depicting Galveston Bay and Sabine Lake, with depths shown by soundings. Scale [ca. 1: 2,300,000]. Text on the back of the map describes Arkansas and Oklahoma (Indian Territory) including physical descriptions and characteristics, as well as population statistics by county.
