Postcard from L. H. Woods to George Pendexter wishing for more cards to be sent showing "auto fire apparatus." The photograph on the reverse side of the card shows a large cloud of smoke coming off of a large building that has been burned. The building on the left has had its roof destroyed and some portions of its wall collapsed; the building in the foreground has had its walls damaged and roof destroyed as well.

The letter on the back of the postcard reads, "Do I know you? I think I should, judging from the number of times Jim has spoken to me of you. We spent yesterday in Calvert - am very sorry I could not make Beaumont a short visit this summer. Clem." The postcard is addressed to "Miss Mammie McFaddin, 1906 McFaddin Ave. Beaumont, Texas."

Postcard from Rose Collins to Harry Bahl, concerning accidents taking place at her house in Nebraska. The photograph on the card shows a man peaking under a woman's umbrella. This card is the third card in a set of six sent by Rose to Harry and is entitled "Temptation." The back of the card has a note that reads: "had several minor mishaps, such as stepping on the baby and knocking her down occasionally and about taking the wheel off her go-cart."
