As panel members it is important they address how important the art education and the affects North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts will have on school districts. Description: Photocopy of a letter from Bill McCarter, co-director of North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts, to Bill Cormack, Superintendent of Dallas ISD. McCarter writes that from the point of view of NTIEVA, there has been new energy and focus from Woolery's good words from their panel, TASA/TASB. It gave NTIEVA them insight into the leadership Woolery is providing. McCarter also writes that they appreciate Dr. Skinner and Bill Cormack, who have proven themselves as able spokespersons for the distract during their recent meeting at the Dallas Museum between DMA Education Committee and members of the Board of the Marcus Foundation. McCarter ends the letter by stating that NTIEVA is in the early stages of planning for activities during the summer of 1995 and that the involvement of the Dallas teachers makes them look forward to another successful Institute. Davis understands that the need for space is great, but NTIEVA has proven themselves to be a viable operation with consistent external funding for its program, along with a major outreach for UNT. Davis writes that in the last five years the Institute has generated more than 1,400,000 in grant funds and has only grown more steadily with each passing year. Thus with the expansion of the program, Davis requests more space to continue their operations as their previous space has become overly crowded.
