[Handwritten Title Transfer from James Sellers to C. C. Paine, March 7, 1900]

Description: Document stating James Sellers of Centre Point in Kerr County has applied to lease land for $19.20; the table on the front outlines the section of land, and the company that James Sellers leased the land from. There is a handwritten statement on the back of the document that shows Sellers releasing his rights to the lease to C. C. Paine for $135; the second statement shows Paine releasing his rights to the lease to George L. Leigh for $135 as well. Also included is a small strip of paper with a statement that reads: "When remitting future payments, to guard against errors and insure prompt returns, please give the NAME of lessee and the application NUMBER."

[Sheriff's Deed from John W. Vann to George M. Taylor]

Description: Deed prepared in accordance with the decision in favor of George M. Taylor vs. J. P. Campbell with the decision coming down on April 3, 1900 and a Decree of Sale "commanding [John Vann] to seize and sell the premises described in said Order of Sale." The land, known as survey number 680 containing 160 acres, was put up for sale and was purchased by Edward B. Leigh of Chicago, Illinois for $575 thus giving him the rights to the land.

Description: Land contract between Joy McCoy and Miss F. A. Huntoon, in which McCoy agrees to sell "to the party of the second part all that certain tract or parcel of land which the said Jay McCoy purchased from J. R. Herndon." Description: Bill of sale from George L. Leigh to John A. Bonnell acknowledging the sale of land and 110 heads of cattle. The note goes on to say that this "transfer and Bill of Sale is made on the following terms and conditions to secure the payment of a promissory note for $782.66" from Bonnell, payable on May 1, 1887. The check included in the record is worth $716.66 from John A. Bonnell to Edward A. Leigh.
