Harris to Dr. Bodansky, giving a brief description of the conference between him and Dr. Calvary, who discussed the purpose of feeding tests at high levels which is to study whether a substance is toxic or not. If the substance turns out to be toxic, it then goes into long-term testing to study for any chronic effects. If the substance is not toxic, it proceeds to a feeding test. The letter goes on to discuss how Dr. Calvary was unreasonable when it came to helping the Emulsol Corporation at times.

The earlier letter is from a sender signed as "Neil"; it requests that Dr. Bodansky send him a letter of recommendation so he can send it along with his transcripts to the University of Chicago Medical School for admission. The second letter is from Dr. Bodansky to Dr. B. C. H. Harvey at the University of Chicago. The letter was written on behalf of C. L. Herrmann, and requests that Dr. Harvey assist him financially with his studies in Chemistry and Medicine.

[Correspondence between Meyer Bodansky, Rose Framer, and Adrian Marshall, September 1939]

Description: Letters between Dr. Meyer Bodansky, Adrian Marshall, and Rose Framer. The first letter is handwritten and dated September 4, 1939 by Mr. Marshall. In the letter, Mr. Marshall explains that he is unable attend his third year at the American University of Beirut because travel has been ceased overseas in light of the current war in Europe. Due to the circumstances, Mr. Marshall requests admission to the University of Texas School of Medicine. The letterhead reads, "Adolph Marshall, 300 Ocean Parkway, Brooklyn, N.Y.", however the "Adolph" on the first page is scratched out and replaced with a handwritten "Adrian". The second letter is from Ms. Framer, who responds that Dr. Bodansky is on vacation and will respond to Mr. Marshall's letter as soon as he is back in town. The last letter is a response to Mr. Marshall from Dr. Bodansky. He informs Mr. Marshall that he is ineligible for admission because the University of Texas only accepts in-state resident students.

Description: Letter to Dr. Theodore L. Terry, dated November 4, 1940. The letter, which is from an unknown sender, explains to Dr. Terry that he was not reimbursed for a phone call that he made at a hotel while visiting with the sender. The sender informs Dr. Terry that he has included with the letter money to cover the call, and thanks him for a joyful visit. The right-hand side of the letter has several tears in it.
