According to Vela, these individuals took two horses with them and Ramón is to send them back if they are found.

Description: Letter from Manuel Lafuente to Justice of the Peace Ramón, informing him that Antonio Perez is planning an attack on Laredo. Lafuente mentions he has sent troops against him but Laredo should be on guard; no Texan is to travel to the interior. Ramón replies that Laredo is ready and watching.
