Description: As identified on attached card: "Pipe found on the Battlefield of San Jacinto the day after the battle. Supposed to be several hundred years old and former property of a German Officer." Pipe has a white ceramic bowl that is decorated with a multi-colored image of two women. The woman on the left is sitting in a turquoise, fabric backed chair with her left elbow on her knee and her left hand resting against her face. Description: 18K gold pocket watch engraved with a scene of a house on the back side that is framed by decoration and encircled by engravings of a floral design. On the front side is a small engraving of a plaque that is framed by the same style of decoration as the opposite side and encircled by the same engravings of a floral design as the opposite side. Watch made by "ELGIN NATL WATCH Co" as stamped on watch face. Time is demarcated by roman numerals and there is a separate dial for the second hand. Short ridges line the perimeter of the watch.
