[Downtown Waco]

Description: Photograph of downtown Waco in 1892. A Pacific Express Co. wagon pulled by a white horse stands at the curb. A man sits in the driver's seat in the wagon, and five men stand on the sidewalk behind the wagon. Behrens Drug Company is located on the bottom floor of the Cleveland and Cameron building, to the right. A man leans against a brick wall in the middle of the photo, and four more men stand in front of the store to the left of the Behrens Drug Company. The photograph was purchased at the Abel estate sale in Waco, Texas.

Kaiser Wilhelm and His Guards in Potsdam

Description: Copy photograph of a black and white photograph depicting Kaiser Wilhelm II walking by a line of his guards in Potsdam, Germany. Visible on the left, he and his officers are dressed in full military uniforms which include jackets, pants, boots, and sashes. Kaiser Wilhelm II is the most decorated man in the group; various medals are strewn across his chest. A long line of guards stand at attention on his right, one of whom is H.J. Berndt, denoted by an arrow that has been penned in on the photograph's surface. They are all standing near a large building whose exterior is in the classical style. On the left hand corner of the photograph, a handwritten note reads, "...on a visit by Kaiser Wilhelm II, in Potsdam, by Berlin, in 1892, by H.J. Berndt."

Alec Ormand

Description: Photograph of Mr Alec Ormand on the night of the Butler's dance. Mr. Ormand appears to be quite young. He is wearing a three piece suit, white shirt and tie and a watch fob. In his left hand, he holds a thin cane or walking stick. His a felt hat is hanging from a fence post to his left. His right fist rests on his hip with his elbow cocked. This appears to be a posed photograph by a professional photographer. At the bottom of the photo are the words "Barr B San Antonio Texas", which may be the photographer's logo. His hair is dark and slicked back and he looks quite dapper.

[Exterior of Decker Methodist Church]

Description: Photograph of the front exterior of Decker Methodist Church circa 1892. The church was built in 1879 and was moved in 1901. There is a large group standing in front of the church. Among those present are Reverend August Wallin, S.A. Lundell (grandfather of Mrs. Simon Swahn who was Hilma Johnson) and his brother Gustav Lundell, L.P. Swahn (father of Simon Swahn)and his brother C.J. Swahn, and F.G. Swenson.
