Description: Legal document for an indenture between James Winchester and Israel Moore of Sumner County, Tennessee which grants Moore land when he can pay $100 to the current owner, written October 17th, 1796. There are addenda acknowledging the land transfer, finalized in December, 1797.

Description: Envelope addressed to Charles B. Moore in McKinney, Texas. The post mark is from Gallatin, Tennessee. A note in the lower left hand corner gives the name Jo Wallace and says the envelope was received on June 3, 1871. A math problem was worked on the back of the envelope. It appears that the stamp was cut off.

Description: A letter to Mary Moore from her mother, Matilda Dodd, and her sister, Bettie Franklin, on January 27, 1876. In the letter, Dodd and Franklin tell Moore about the well-being of the family and of the farm. They mention that they are not sure if they will be moving to Texas. Dodd mentions that she would like Moore to visit, and would like to return to Texas with Moore. Franklin closes by sending regards to Mary's husband, Charles B. Moore. Included with this item is the envelope in which the letter was mailed. The envelope, postmarked January 29, is addressed to Charles B. Moore Esq., in McKinney, Texas.

In a separate letter from Moore's father, William Dodd, William talks about the weather and the state of the family and the farm. He tells Moore that he will send her care money soon. Included with this item is the envelope in which the letter was mailed. The envelope, postmarked March 13 from Gallatin, Tennessee, is addressed to Mrs. Mary A. Moore in Mckinney, Collin County, Texas.
