Allen calling himself agent of the Impresarios Zavala Vehlein and Burnett -- protesting against Arturo Henry, the actual agent of said impresarios and also protesting as illegal the titles given by the former as such commissioner unless they had the signature of said Allen attached to them, and asking instructions on the subject.

Description: Copy of transcript for a letter from M. A. Bryan to James F. Perry, in which Bryan informs Perry that he safely arrived in San Felipe de Austin with his uncle, Stephen F. Austin. Bryan also reports that Austin has resigned his office as commander-in-chief of the army of Texas and will likely travel to the United States as commissioner of Texas to negotiate for aid; Burleson has been elected to take Austin's place as commander-in-chief; and military personnel were confused and displeased by the outcome of the convention.
