Dallas County probate record regarding the case of Hawpe, T.C. (died August 8, 1863) and W.H. Thomas (Executor or Guardian). Contested estate of Col. Trezevant Calhoun Hawpe. This is an enormous file containing 769 pages. The estate was large and contested, This file included folders 280, 281, 244, and 244A. In folder 280, there is a list of slaves which gives sex, first name, and age of each.
