[Account of Wallace Family History]

Description: This document is an undated account of the Wallace family history from the Charles B. Moore Collection. The Wallace family were kin to Charles Moore through his grandmother Elizabeth Wallace Moore. He details the lives of Mary and Joseph Wallace including their spouses names, where they settled, if they had any children, and when they died. It is damaged along the edges of the letter and some words are missing due to the damage.

Description: Monotone postcard with the word ALICE across the front. Within the letters of the word are faces of women. Written at the bottom of the front of the card, " From your sis who is having a time in Chicago". Correspondence on the back reads," My dear Sis:- I am still having 'Time of my life' but am getting anxious to hear from somebody. Especially as I left Pap not well. Had one letter from Hattie. We went to Jackson park last night and walked about 1 1/2 miles on the lake front - my it was grand. Rosa". It is addressed to Mrs. E.A. Dill, P.O. Box 838, Oklahoma City, Okla. It is postmarked Chicago, Ill. on Aug 25, 1908.

The American Legion Drum and Bugle Corp at Their 1933 Convention in Chicago

Description: This much-battered picture has obviously been pinned to a cork-board in order for it to be made into a photograph. Enough of the legend at its bottom survives to proclaim that the picture commemorates the attendance of the Drum and Bugle Corps of Mineral Wells' Farris Anderson Post No. 75, at a national convention of the the American Legion, in Chicago, Illinois, on October 2-5, 1933. The photograph was taken, the legend states, compliments of the Majestic Hotel. Please note: The American Legion provided the following names to accompany the picture: David Burnswick,[sic] Director; Paul Grable, Drum Major; Tommie Burns, Trumpet; James W. Calvert, Trumpet; E.M. Davidson, Trumpet; Lawrence Davis, Trumpet; Sam Goldman, Trumpet; Jack Armstrong, Trumpet; Bob Echols,[sic] Clarinet; (?)
