Mr. Lowry has been unwell he thinks with a fever. Her Uncle H got a fever and was unwell, but has recovered. She mentions Solomon's family and their health. Solomon will be going back to help pick cotton. She received a letter from Clarence and Solomon received one from George. Buck is wearing a necklace with a heart on it. Neal came back that morning. Solomon ended up leaving to go find work. She read their letter to Uncle H. She mentions that they need rain. She talks about the state of their peach orchard. Uncle H and Neal are going to Melissa. Neal helped Lila with her milking and feeding. She mentions again the need for rain and she was happy that the Moores were having a good time.

Description: Letters between Dr. Meyer Bodansky, who is a professor at the University of Texas School of Medicine, Rose Framer, who is his secretary, and Dr. Corley B. McFarland, who is from the Ancker Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. The first letter, which is from Dr. McFarland, requests an explanation of a method published in one of Dr. Bodansky's books. The second letter is from Ms. Framer on behalf of Dr. Bodansky. It explains to Dr. McFarland that Dr. Bodansky is on vacation and will respond to the previous letter when he returns. The third letter is from Dr. Bodansky, and is a response to Dr. McFarland's letter.
