Published as Volume II of the Annual Report of the American
Historical Association for 1954, Writings on American History,
1952 is a valuable bibliographic tool that Association members
will find useful in their research. As in the past, the writings are
organized in three divisions: (1) the historical profession; (2)
national history; and, (3) regional and local history. The index
lists more than one hundred entries on Texas subjects in the first
