Motion by Eld B L Clapp that Elders M. J. Snedaker John Ostler
H Duncin Should remane in Texas
Second by Allen
Put to Vote Caired Unanimus
A Mosion was Made that H Duncin Should Preside Over All Texas
Second by Some One then Poot to Vote
Caried Unanimus then I was to labor with Eld John Ostler in a
Sertin Portion of Texas All the rest was Liberated to go home
Here we had a fine time And the Conferance was Adjurn Untill
Pres H Duncin Should Call one
I Stopted with Bro Couch 19 Days B L Clapp Bigler and My
Self left Bro Couches On Thurs 27th and went for the Hils to Bro
Box's bout 30 M Camped One Night We went with a Ox Team
Got there 28 friday 30 Sunday we had a Meeting at Bro Box
Preaching by Bro Clapp Allen and My Self
Here I Stopt in Ellis Co from the 3oth of March Untill the 9th of
June During which time we Organize a Branch and Named it the
Ellis Co Branch and Preach there Severel times while Elder Clapp was
thare in that Branch Eld Clapp Started from Bro Box's for home
the 18th of April With an Ox team they Gave him or at Least a
part of it and he was to pay the balance when he could
I went with him as for as Sister Damron's 8c went off fine
Eld Thomas Company Come Up May 6th and Camped West of
the Waxahahchia River Here Hcle [?] Duncin and Bro Whitmore
& wife and My Self Went over with Eld Thomas and Eld John Ostler
to the camp I was truly Much pleased with Eld Thomases Camp
here we had a fine time Enjoying Our Selves at the rate of 15 Nots
an hour Eld Osler was Started for home as he had not herd from
Us but We Cept him with us to form a quorum that was a Short
Night to Me The next day they Started and Eld John Ostler
went with them Untill they Crosed the trinity river I went With
them a fue Miles and Went through a little - Cald Waxahatchia
On My return I Stopt in a Store a fue Moments to get me Some
Shirting I was looking Over ther cloth At that Moment a grate
big Doubble fisted fellow Came in and told Me I Must leave that
town in to Minits He was in a grate Fix about it I asked for
what reason He was a Stranger to Me the answer was God dam'm
You here is No time to argu the question there is Jest io Minits
for You to leave this town I asked the Mirchant if he wished me
to leave his Store He Sed he had nothing to Say Whareupon I
gave them to Under Stand in Plain turms that I was not in the
Habbit of leaving No town Untill I got ready I left that Store
and went to a nuther One Just as the Mertiant was Dooing
Up My goods this fellow and a Nuther Man with him Come in
He told Me I was tressping on time I gave them to understand
the are was Just as free for Me as Enny Other Man that Inhabeted
