lows the course of the Depression as reported in the Beaumont En-
terprise.

Tebbets, Pioneer America (June, 1978). Illustrates six types of nine-
teenth-century houses.
TRANSPORTATION
"The County Railroad Station in the West," by H. Roger Grant,
Journal of the West (Oct., 1978). Offers pictorial essay.
"The Blytheville Case and Regulation of Arkansas Cotton Ship-
ments," by Lee A. Dew, Arkansas Historical Quarterly (Summer, 1979).
Examines an ICC ruling favoring growers and shippers over the railroad.
UNITED STATES-MEXICAN RELATIONS
"The El Paso-Juarez Conference of 1916," by James W. Harper,
Arizona and the West (Autumn, 1978). Suggests that this conference
bought time for President Wilson to deal with the Sussex matter before
finding a solution to the controversy over the Punitive Expedition.
"The Mexican Revolution in the Ciudad Juarez-El Paso Area, 191o-
1920," by Richard Estrada, Password (Summer, 1979). Examines the
relationship of the two towns as it was affected by the events of the
Revolution.
"The Legacy of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo," by Donald C.
Cutter, New Mexico Historical Review (Oct., 1978). Surveys problems
raised by the treaty, some still unresolved.
