No time but Sunday for a visit
Are you a slave then We thought
we hod free labor in this country
If so you can take a weekday
time for visitors or if not and
you must visit on Sundays you

There are other hours enough for
such Sunday visiting as we feel
absolutely unavoidable
No Sunday clothes Then come

Come with such clothes as you

honor and admiration for I fear
that if I could not dress in fashion
I would not have the courage to-

would be honored come to church
without waiting for better clothes
It is an entire mistake for one
poorly clad to torment himself
with the fancy that any one whoso

the poor The feeling that the
poor inspire in church is rather
one of admiration and respect

Coal in Coleman Count
The Coleman Voice says of the
coal now being mined in Coleman
County
On Wednesday evening of last
week Mr J H fall delivered to
us the first load of coal takoufrom
their mine ou Jim Ned near the
crossing of the smvey made for
tho Ft Worth and Rio Grande
inihoad We have given this
coal a thorough test and it gives
us better satisfaction than any wo
have ever used in Coleman It is
specially adapted for family use
being free from sulphur cleau and
a good burner loaving no clinkers
whatever Entire success de-
pends upon tho quantity the qual
ity is superior Ours was the
first and it is good but wo aro to-
day iuformod that as tho work ad-
vances under tho hill the coal is
becoming hardei and heavier
Being ten miles distant from
the nearest point ou the railroad
and fifteen miles from Coleman
the company labor under disad-
vantages which can only bo re
moved by the development of
such an output as will induce the
Gulf Colorado and Santa Fe to
build a branch to it or the Fort
Woith and Rio Grando to extend
their projected branch to Coleman
For the present it is the intention
of the company to supply the local
demand in Coleman by wagons
and that of Ballinger and San An
gelo by shipment from Santa An-
na but to get it to that point they
have
miles
to haul it by wagons ten
The company deserves success
It is entirely a private enterprise
undertaken by men of but small
capital with no other encourage-
ment than their faith in tho oxist
tence of the coal in paying quan
tities in the field selected
