dren would have immunizations
deferred:
(1) Those acutely ill and with
fever;
(1) Those acutely ill and with

(2) Those taking antibiotic
treatment for an acute illness;
and
(3) Those who have complet-
ed antibiotic treatment for an
acute illness, but have not been
pronounced well by their phy-
sician.
The Department makes no
charge for the immunizations.
Since these diseases can be
quite harmful, each parent or
guardian is encouraged to pro-
tect their children from them.
“Persons who have private phy-
sicians should consult with
them for advice,” stated Hal

The Texas Department of
Health Region 5 Office in Ar-
lington announces an immuni-
zation Giic to be held in Bur-
leson at Mound Elementary,
205 S. W. Thomas on Monday,
December 1, 1980 from 4:00
p.m.-6:00 pm. The Clinic will
ivdie immunization against
- tetanus - pertussis
(OTP), Polio, Rubeola (red
measles) and Rubella (German
measles), for infants 2 months
through 18 years-' (Exception:
■Females over age 12 will • not
receive rubella vaccine with-
out a physician’s consultation
and prescription). Precautions
must be taken with females
in the 12-18 age group to in-
sure that they are not preg-
nant when they are immunized
with measles vaccine, and that
they do not become pregnant
for 3 months following immuni-
zation. Immunizations are in-
complete if a child.has not re-
ceived three (3) doses of DTP
and Polio vaccine with at least
one dose administered past the
fourth birthday. All children
under 18 years must have an
informed consent form read
and signed by the parent of le-
gal guardian. If possible, the
parent should accompany the

Chris Schultz, who tallied $475
in sales and won a bicycle;
Fifth Grader Lori Carl, who
had $458 in sales and won a
pair of shoe skates; third gra-
der Paul Hamlin, who chalked
up $449 in sales and won a
cassette-player recorder - and
carrying case. ‘
Students selling in excess of
$300 and awarded cassette play-
ers were Mike Morrison, Suz-
zana Conty, Bear Hogan and
Stacy Rotenburg.
