The statements of the Express thl
morning concerning the arrest of David

derTng Mrs. Sue Hancock at Austin on
the nlzht of December '21. are nu te mis
leading. The facts are that David
Hagey was boarding at Mrs. Hancock'
at a party with her daughters on the
night of the murder and on returning
home with them found the murdered
woman already dead : that he was not
suspected of the murder at all: that he
remained In Austin aevcral weeks after
the murder was committed : that be has
never made any secret of bis being In
San Antonio; that he has received let-
ters from detectives In Austin asking
him to help them make a case against
certain suspected parties to enable said
