S.B. No. 1354
1 (C) constructs and installs plumbing for
2 one-family or two-family dwellings; [an4]
3 (D) has not met or attempted to meet the
4 qualifications for a journeyman plumber license; and
5 (E) has fulfilled the other requirements of the
6 board.
7 SECTION 2. Section 1301.052, Occupations Code, is amended
8 to read as follows:
9 Sec. 1301.052. WORK INSIDE COUNTIES OR INSIDE OR OUTSIDE
10 MUNICIPALITIES. A person is not required to be licensed under this
11 chapter to perform plumbing, other than plumbing performed in
12 conjunction with new construction, repair, or remodeling, on a
13 property that is:
14 (1) located in a subdivision or on a tract of land that
15 is not required to be platted under Section 232.0015, Local
16 Government Code; [e*]
17 (2) not connected to a public water system and is
18 located outside a municipality; [E+]
19 (3) located outside a municipality and connected to a
20 public water system that does not require a license to perform
21 plumbing; or
22 (4) located inside a municipality that is within a
23 county that has fewer than 50,000 inhabitants and that:
24 (A) has [w-itk] fewer than 5,000 inhabitants; and
25 (B) by municipal ordinance has authorized a
26 person who is not licensed under this chapter to perform plumbing[,-
27 unit4
