poses only under the name of and to be known as French Independent
School District, with metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning in Jefferson County, Texas, at the southwest corner
of the F. Bigner survey;
Thence in a northerly direction along and with the west
boundary line of said F. Bigner survey to the northwest corner
of same;
Thence in an easterly direction along and with the north
boundary line of said F. Bigner survey to an interior corner of
said survey, the same being the southeast corner of the Thos.
Spear league;
Thence in a northerly direction along and with the east boundary
line of said Thos. Spear league to a point where the same
is intersected by the south boundary line of the H. R. Williams
survey, the same being the southwest corner of said H. R. Williams
survey;
Thence in an easterly direction along and with the south
boundary line of said H. R. Williams survey to the southeast
corner of said survey, the same being a point on the west bank
of the Neches River;
Thence down the west bank of the said Neches River, with its
meanders, to the confluence of said Neches River and Brakes
Bayou, the same being a point on the east bank of said Brakes
Bayou at its mouth and terminus;
Thence in a southwesterly direction, in a direct line, across
said Brakes Bayou at its mouth to the west bank of said Brakes
Bayou at its mouth and terminus;
Thence up the west bank of said Brakes Bayou, with its
meanders, to a point where the same is intersected by the north
boundary line of the corporate limits of the city of Beaumont,
Texas, as said north boundary line of said corporate limits as
defined by Chapter 92 of the Local and Special Laws passed by
the Thirty-first Legislature at its Regular Session in 1909, the
same being a point east of the intersection of the center lines of
Cottonwood Avenue and Colliers Ferry Road;
Thence in a westerly direction along and with the said north
boundary line of said corporate limits to its intersection with
the center lines of Cottonwood Avenue and Colliers Ferry Road;
Thence in a northwesterly direction along and with the center
line of said Colliers Ferry Road to its intersection with the
center line of Wiess Avenue;
Thence in a southwesterly direction along and with the said
center line of said Wiess Avenue to its intersection with the
center line of Gulf street;
Thence in a southerly direction along and with the said center
line of said Gulf Street to its intersection with the center line
of Plum Avenue;
Thence in a westerly direction along and with the said center
line of said Plum Avenue to its intersection with the center line
of Drake Street;
Thence in a southerly direction along and with the said center
