LIMITING TIME FOR ISSUANCE OF BONDS OR NOTES
BY INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICTS FOR
BUILDING RECREATIONAL FACILITIES.
S. B. No. 11.] CHAPTER 36.
An Act to amend Section 5 of Chapter 130 of the General Laws of the Regular
Session of the Forty-third Legislature so as to provide that no
contract, bond or note, or other evidence of indebtedness authorized to be
issued under Chapter 130 of the General Laws of the Regular Session of
the Forty-third Legislature shall be issued or executed after May 13,
1935, and declaring an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. That Section 5 of Chapter 130 of the General
Laws of the Regular Session of the Forty-third Legislature be
amended so as-hereafter to read:
"Section 5. No contract, bond or note, or other evidence of
indebtedness authorized to be issued or executed under this
Act, shall be issued or executed after May 13, 1935."
SEC. 2. The fact that many Independent School Districts
are preparing to take advantage of the benefits of said Chapter
130 of the General Laws of the Regular Session of the Fortythird
Legislature but the time limitation in Section 5, thereof
is so short as to prevent their doing so, creates an emergency
and an imperative public necessity that the Constitutional Rule
requiring bills to be read on three several days in each House
be suspended, and said Rule is hereby suspended, and this Act
shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, and
it is so enacted.

by a vote of 24 yeas, 3 nays; passed the House, February 16,
1934, by a vote of 107 yeas, 0 nays.]
