her, and that pretty. soon if he wont buy her
which he ought to have done long ago, or have
sold her, so I intend to compel him to buy or sell.
I cannot bear to have my children taken advantage
of, but dont hint anything about it to him,
or he would be my bitter enemy for life & we
are on the best of terms now, but he might have
sold Sallie I think long ago if he had tried.
I am preparing to give Jimmie a party & with
such spirits as mine it is perfect labor.
I feel distressed that your crops have failed again.
your country has but one advantage over
ours with all its disadvantages & that is its
health. I hope you may find stock raising
profitable. I got a cow from Bright & had to
give him 25$.. This year has been one of
misfortunes to me, loesng my horse cows & hogs
has set me back considerably.  still I am glad
its no worse. I shall send the babe something
by old Till if he goes out in Jan. Kate says
she is satisfied with boarding school, 8:
will never go again. Write very soon.
