FORTY-FIFTH LEGISLATURE-FIRST CALLED SESSION. 1757
appears of record in the recorded plat of same, Volume A,
page 3 of the Deed Records of Gregg County, Texas, beginning
at the East intersection of said Quitman Avenue and the old
State Highway No. 15, and extending to the West intersection
of Quitman Avenue and Mills Street.
That the closing of said street by the governing body of said
City shall constitute the transfer of said lands lying in said
street from the City of Gladewater to the Gladewater County
Line Independent School District for school purposes only so
long as said land shall be used for said purposes. That as a
result of such transfer, no rights, in either the land, or the
minerals thereunder, shall inure to anyone except said Gladewater
County Line Independent School District, and that the
said School District shall have no right to either sell, lease, or
otherwise convey or alienate any rights for real estate or mineral
development.
SEC. 2. The fact that said street divides the present school
property being used by the Gladewater County Line Independent
School District for school purposes thereby creating a hazard
to the school children attending said school, and the further fact
that said School District is called upon to make additions to its
present school building in order to enlarge the facilities of said
school, and it being necessary to use said property now used for
street purposes, for this purpose create an emergency and an
imperative public necessity that the Constitutional Rule requiring
bills to be read on three several days in each House be
suspended and the same is hereby suspended and this Act shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage and it is
so enacted.

a vote of 26 yeas, 0 nays; passed the House, June 23, 1937, by
a vote of 111 yeas, 0 nays.]
