Linzy Warren Walker was born August 16, 1921 to Emmit
and Cora Walker. He was the youngest of five children. He
attended Gonzales Public Schools. He entered the United
States Army and was later honorably discharged at age
26.
He married Theressa House, to this union eight children
were born, he leaves to cherish his memory four
daughters; Theressa Washington, Patricia Fergerson,
Betsy Walker of Austin, Texas and Debra Walker of Irving,
Texas. One daughter, Joan Walker Jackson, preceded him
in death. Also to cherish his memory four sons; Emmit
Walker, Sr., Lynn Walker, Sr., Cornelius Walker of San
Antonio, Texas and Moses Williams of Austin, Texas. He
also leaves behind one sister Grade Mathis and three
brothers Alvis, Clinton, and Manie Walker. He also leaves
behind 23 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and three
great great-grandchildren. A very special niece Shirley Jo
and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, friends
and family. Later he married Ms. Willie Mae and she
preceded him in death in 1994.
