8TH TRAINING CO.
By Pvt. Richard B. Wilfong
A man fixed his bayonet and
charged growling out of the trench.
But he had run scarcely 30 yards
when he was tackled and fell in
great confusion. For around his
ankles were his enemies of the mo
ment his own trousers.
We have heard of things slip-

one but this slipping
'down sort of thing should not take
one quite so much by surprise. But
maybe it was just that the infil
tration course excited our usually
alert man with the woolly voice.
Eh Cassimere?
"Yeah!" retorted his compatriot
Rickman "But just wait until the
numbness wears off." It seems that
Rickman's numbness had already
worn off along with a considerable
portion of his epidermis.

When Richard Cutrer 8 told his
mother he killed a "big wild cat"
during his hunting trip with a cap

"bring it home." Half-an-hour lat
er Richard returned pulling a
30-pound bobcat in his wagon say
ing he bashed the cat on the head
with his gun when it jumped out
of a tree on top of him. Later it
was found that the bobcat had
