Chapter 113 H.B. No. 1527 1 AN ACT 2 relating to the certification of the state's primary standards of 3 weights and measures. 4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 5 SECTION 1. Section 13.113(b), Agriculture Code, is amended 6 to read as follows: 7 (b) The department shall maintain the primary [f-fiCial] 8 standards in a safe and suitable place in the offices of the 9 department. The standards may not be moved except for repairs or 10 certification. The department shall maintain the standards in good 11 order and shall submit them to the National Institute of Standards 12 and Technology or to a laboratory approved by the National 13 Institute of Standards and Technology for certification at least 14 once each 10 years. 15 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011.
