VICTOR PAYNE
COACH
An all-around athlete and a man whose
word is law on the practice field-the kind
of a coach that the boys would die for.
For years Payne was a star athlete of
Simmons College; one year he wore the
purple and white of A. C. C.; and last
season he showed them his stuff in Bethany
College.
WILL SCOTT, CAPTAIN
GUARD-175 LBS.
"Scottie" started the season at full. Due
to a broken hand received in his first
game he was unable to play for two
games. Coming back, he was shifted to
guard where he played a jam-up game. A
PAYNE two-year man. SCOTT
A. C. HILL
CENTER-170 LBS.
The fightingest center that ever donned a
wildcat uniform. No opponent outplayed
him. His injury and subsequent illness
made him a loss to the team for a part of
the season. A two-year man.
VIRGIL SMITH
LEFT END-180 LBS.
"Smitty" ended his football career at
Commerce in a blaze of glory. Cutting
down men is his favorite pastime. He
plays for the sake of playing. Smith was
a member of the wonder team of '20.
