SESSION OF 1918-'19

In view of the purposes and ideals of Abilene Christian College,
its improved facilities, fine student body, and the credits and the
certificates it may grant, we invite your careful investigation and fairminded
comparison.
YOUNG PREACHERS
Believing that the consecrated young man, who would preach the
gospel of Jes's Christ, should be thoroughly trained for his work, we
have planne a number of courses for this special purpose. The
courses are very practical. You are to "preach the word." It is
absolutely necessary for you to know the Word of God. Examine
especially the courses we offer in the department of the Bible. You
will note also the many other courses which we offer, that will be of
special value to you in your life and work as a preacher. Under the
most excellent care and instruction of Brother Klingman, Brother
Freeman and Brother Sewell you will have excellent opportunities. It
is not likely you could find teachers who are more able and who are
better fitted for the work. To all students actually preaching we will
give free tuition. This does not mean matriculation, library, laboratory
fees, etc., it simply means tuition in the department in which lie
registers.
CONSERVATION OF TI[E AND ENERGY
We read and hear a great deal about conservation. The most
important conservation is the conservation of the time and energy of
the individual. In this age of intense physical and mental activity
the individual who would succeed and last must so order his life as
to be free as possible from all friction and without a waste of time
and energy. Every student is led to work according to a well ordered
program. The general program in Daisy Hall, Zellner Hall, the Girlsw
Industrial Home, and in every home where our students board, wir
be as follows:
6:30- 7:00-Arise and arrange rooms.
7:00- 8: 00-Breakfast.
8:00-10:00-Study and recitations.
10:00-10:30-Chapel.
10:30-12:30-Study and recitations.
12:30- 1:30--Dinner.
1:30- 3:30-Study and recitations.
8: 30- 6: 00-Exercise.
6:00- 7:00-Supper.
7:00- 10:30-Study.
